Synthnova
Synthnova is an indie game development team established in Hong Kong, which focus solely on rhythm games.
RAVON, the core mobile rhythm game, released on 22 December 2019 on both iOS and Android platforms is the debut work of the team.

RAVONRAVON is a core rhythm game optimized for mobile and tablet uses. The title “RAVON” was the combination of “RAVE” and “NOVA”, which represented the main theme throughout the game. Electronic Dance Music (herein referred to as EDM) artists all over the world, including Japan, Korea, United States and more nations are invited to provide their distinctive works for game contents. Note patterns are mapped according to beats and melodies and players will use basic techniques such as Tap, Drag and Hold to response towards the song. Players will share the feeling as a virtual DJ, recreating the rhythmic EDM works as a real-time simulation.

Gameplay

|
The unique gameplay of RAVON is a combination of ideas of multiple music game genres. RAVON implemented the classical “falling object” mode with up to 4 directions, and players will have to response to 15 or more square buttons at the same time. In other words, each button will represent 4 independent “falling tracks”, appearing and disappearing synchronously with rhythms. The design is, to some extent, related to a real-life EDM apparatus, Drum Pad. In addition, players can discover and fulfill requirements in the “Mission” section to unlock and enjoy extra contents.
